This summer we reached great heights, launching a Rooftop Films series on the roof deck at Bronx Terminal Market and opening the 8,000 square foot Sephora at Time Warner Center.

ROOFTOP FILMS AT BRONX TERMINAL MARKET

In July we launched "Rooftop Films at Bronx Terminal Market" with Disney's Rango and pre-film giveaways by 92.3 NOW! Hundreds gathered for this free summer film series held in July and August on the roof deck of Bronx Terminal Market. The film series continued with Ratatouille, featuring a pre-film screening of a Bronx Net Bronx Flavor episode starring the hilarious culinary master Baron Ambrosia, and delicious tastings from Marisco Centro's seafood menu. On August 7th, Bronx Terminal Market hosted the Bronx premiere of the moving and heart-felt independent film Inocente, followed by an intimate Q&A with Inocente herself! We wrapped up an incredibly successful series with Disney's Kungfu Panda and a special guest appearance by Bronx Net's Grandmaster Fitness host Mele-Mel! 

SAILING ON THE CLIPPER CITY: THE MAGICAL HISTORY TOUR

We boarded the Clipper City at the South Street Seaport on a beautiful summer night in July for The Magical History Tour produced by our good friend Allegra Schorr and The Floating Theater. There we enjoyed a magical journey through New York's rich history while taking in the gorgeous views of the Hudson. What a perfect night for sailing!

SEPHORA OPENING AT TIME WARNER CENTER

This two-day launch hosted a Beauty Lounge offering complimentary makeovers for all the ladies in the house! New and improved features inside the store include an interactive Fragrance Sensorium, private Personal Beauty Advisor room, and many expanded brands like Armani, Edward Bess, CoverFX, Perfekt/Amazing, Nude, Soap & Glory, Dr. Gross, St. Tropez, and more!

BTM CELEBRATES BACK TO SCHOOL IN THE BRONX

This past weekend, Bronx Terminal Market celebrated Back-to-School with hands-on family programming! Hundreds joined us for face painting, free haircuts courtesy of Slique Hair Studio, arts and crafts with Bronx Children's Museum, a Mad Science demonstration outside of Applebee's, an interactive musical adventure with FunikiJam, and Burlington Coat Factory's Back-to-School fashion show hosted by local fashion blogger Celia of Sicka Than Average. There were tons of free giveaways by 92.3 NOW and promotions at Bronx Terminal Market stores to take advantage of all day. Complete with a guest appearance from Geoffrey the Giraffe from Toys "R" Us, there was something for everyone at this back to school bash!

The 38th Annual Atlantic Antic Street Festival

September 30th

The Atlantic Antic is a living tribute to the myriad of heritages that coexist in Brooklyn, bringing together thousands of people to celebrate the best shops, music, food, and fun on Atlantic Avenue! Spanning four neighborhoods from Hicks Street to Fourth Avenue, the Antic is the largest street festival in New York City! From start to finish, Atlantic Avenue transforms into a sea of entertainment offering something for everyone for one day only!

An Event-Full June

This month confirmed that there is never a dull moment at Auster Agency!

Live rock-n-roll music at the Williamsburg waterfront on June 3rd for "Family Fun on the Williamsburg Pier," an outdoor festival and free concert presented by Elaine and Norm Brodsky to benefit Camp Brooklyn. Families indulged in delicious barbecue food and beer sponsored by Brooklyn Brewery. For the sweet tooth in all of us, there were also plenty of Italian ices and ice cream by Uncle Louie G’s to go around. When kids weren’t dancing the day away, they were jumping around in the bouncy castle, getting their faces painted, eating cotton candy, or getting inked with temporary rock-themed tattoos. Unique to the event was Frolic! Rock Fest, the best kid-rock concert of the season! Musical guests included the ever-talented Tracy Bonham and her new band, Topsy Bonsai and the Tangs; the high energy Little Rock-Its featuring Tim Kubart of Tim and the Space Cadets; singer-songwriter, Suzi Shelton; family band, Audrarox; the best drum-lines around, Maracatu NY; and smooth sounding Larry g(EE). The Frolic! Rock Fest transformed a typical Sunday into a rockin' family fun day!

Four days later, we slipped into our dresses to produce the 90th Anniversary Gala at Cipriani Wall Street for Brooklyn Technical High School's Alumni Foundation. An engaging program hosted by NY1's Jeanine Ramirez included a heartwarming documentary featuring Brooklyn Tech's impressive history and the induction of three significant Tech leaders into the Hall of Fame: Matt Mandery, Achilles Perry, and Michael Weiss. All through the night, guests grooved to classic tunes by Rick Mango, featuring a special guest appearance by Prentiss McNeil of The Drifters.

To round out the eventful month, we took a trip to the Bronx for some fitness fun! On Saturday, June 16th, the rooftop deck of Bronx Terminal Market transformed into an outdoor gym for an exciting Zumba class with some of the best instructors from Bronx YMCA. After working up a sweat, participants met Hip-Hop Legend, Grandmaster Mele-Mel, host of BronxNet’s Grandmaster Fitness segment. Mele-Mel shared creative workout routines and tips for healthy eating. Shoppers also took advantage of special promotions and discounts on athletic wear offered by retailers at Bronx Terminal Market!
