FASHION'S NIGHT OUT AT TIME WARNER CENTER
For one night only, hundreds of fashionistas headed to Time Warner Center for Fashion's Night Out where they indulged in amazing deals and offerings including complimentary makeovers from Aveda, delicious cocktails at Porter House New York, and a ride on L.K.Bennett's double-decker bus to and from the London Hotel. Between drinks, beats, bites, and new styles to try, there was something for everyone on this night to remember!
PUBLIC ART FUND AT COLUMBUS CIRCLE
International innovator Tatzu Nishi made his United States debut at Columbus Circle with, "Discovering Columbus” sponsored by Public Art Fund. We climbed 6 stories up above Central Park to come face-to-face with the little-known commemorative statue of Christopher Columbus set - by Nishi - in a contemporary New York style living room. From 75 feet above the ground we enjoyed the gorgeous city views and experienced a new perspective of a centuries-old monument. Don't miss this exhibition! You can still get your free pass on the third floor of Time Warner Center through December 2nd.
ATLANTIC ANTIC
We wrapped up the month with The 38th Annual Atlantic Antic: one mile of Brooklyn filled with 500 craft and food vendors, 100 local stores and restaurants, a fantastic line up of live music and plenty of fun activities for the whole family. The Antic ambiance encompassed scents of funnel cake and smoky meats diffused into the air with eclectic tunes and sounds of joy and laughter from the crowd.
A few raindrops didn't stop our fun! We still had plenty of time to witness some of the best stages in Antic history like M.O.B.'s hip-hop stage curated by Rabbi Darkside, featuring a killer DJ set by Afrika Bambaataa. Somewhere between the belly-dancing, drum-a-longs, and the rhythmic trumpeter we worked up quite an appetite! We enjoyed classics from Red Hook Lobster Pound and Steve's Authentic Key Lime Pie. We also saved room for new finds from Krescendo, an Italian restaurant from Top Chef Masters contestant Elizabeth Falkner, which we washed down with a pint of Sixpoint Antic Amber!
Over one million people enjoyed the unforgettable experiences only found within Brooklyn's largest street festival! You call that a street fair... We'll call that a success!
