auster*events, addicted to the pleasures of Twittering and movie viewing alike, was struck by the article below regarding the effects of social networking on movies' popularity and ticket sales.

As movie goers can now blast their approval - or disapproval - of a film to their entire contact list while sitting in the theater, studios need to take into account the "Twitter Effect" on their marketing strategies.
